What Are We Looking For?
We’re asking for your tales again, this time not for Graveside Press, but for Gradeside Stories!
Gradeside Stories is your haunted carnival for the tales geared toward younger readers—still spooky, but with a little restraint.
Submissions Requirements
Both Middle Grade and Young Adult titles will be considered. However, if we feel your young adult title skews to an upper young adult older audience, we may ask to publish it as a standard Graveside Press title.
Your submission:
- short story: 2,000 – 6,000 words
- novella or novel: 20,000+ words
- have a PG (middle grade) to PG-13 (young adult) rating
Standard horror elements are allowed, but keep in mind the reading audience you are writing for. Topics such as extreme body horror, assault, torture, etc. will not be considered. Middle Grade stories should maintain a PG rating; Young Adult stories should stick to PG-13.
